Aged Care
Care Options
TriCare provides respite services at most of its aged care residences.
Most TriCare residences offer respite for palliative, special needs and high care residents. Respite is a short-term stay for people who need temporary care before returning to the community.
Caring for someone full time can be very rewarding, but also stressful and emotionally demanding. Respite care allows the primary carer a much needed break. It may be used on a planned or emergency basis to help with carer stress, illness, holidays or unexpected unavailability of the carer.
Respite services are available for up to 63 days in any financial year.
