Cypress Gardens Residents' eagerly await new facilities.

Life for residents at TriCare's Cypress Gardens Retirement Community is set to become much more convenient with the opening of new communal facilities including a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, gym and theatre later this month.

The new extension will also encompass four, two bedroom residential units, an indoor bowling green, separate aerobics area and consultation rooms.

Residents' at Cypress Gardens Retirement Community are eagerly anticipating the opening with plans to relocate their weekly water aerobics class from the outdoor pool to the new indoor heated pool to help keep residents healthy all year round.

TriCare Retirement Communities pride themselves on providing facilities to help keep their residents' healthy and active after they retire and the new facilities at Cypress Gardens certainly promote this ethos.

The "village" atmosphere encourages participation in a range of activities which may not be accessible to older people living in their own homes in the wider community. These activities provide social structure and eliminate the isolation that can be experienced as day to day mobility decreases. Extra activities at Cypress Gardens include regular organised bus trips, weekly craft activities and board games, even billiard competitions.

TriCare residents' love the built in 'door to door' service including a village bus to take them shopping and the safety and security of 24 hour emergency call system and onsite management staff to take care of the day to day issues.

Cypress Gardens Retirement Community also provides the convenience of a wonderful central Gold Coast location on Gooding Drive which allows easy access to the Pacific Motorway North and South.
