General Manager – Corporate Services

Established for over 50 years, TriCare is one of Queensland’s leading private owners of aged care residences and retirement communities.

TriCare is seeking a General Manager – Corporate Services to manage the teams within our Head Office, based at Upper Mount Gravatt, Queensland.  These service teams deliver corporate and administrative services to the 24 TriCare aged care and retirement communities.

As the General Manager – Corporate Services, you’ll be responsible for the service delivery of each of the 10 service teams that report to you.  This involves setting and monitoring key priorities of the business for each of the teams.  Daily huddles and weekly meetings are expected as part of the communication process with the service teams.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Productivity and efficiency: benchmark and measure the output of staff to improve work performance.  Ensure staff prioritise their work.  Identify and remove barriers to improve workplace performance.
  • Deadlines: ensure the organisation meets all internal and external deadlines, including external compliance deadlines
  • Team management: manage staff to ensure smooth business operations, work performance, and the provision of accurate and timely information. 
  • Resources and planning: ensure sufficient resources and effectively structured departments to meet required business outputs.  Manage and develop staff to ensure individual skills are enhanced and potential realised.
  • Goal orientated: convert the Board’s resolutions into well-defined and specific objectives and tasks for each service team and individual.  Implement, monitor and review the Board’s resolutions.
  • Reporting: ensure the production of high-quality reports within agreed timeframes. 

Skills, experience and knowledge requirements to be successful in this role include:

  • Must have at least 5 years’ experience proactively managing staff
  • Proven management skills in achieving high output from staff
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to drive significant change
  • Results driven and future-orientated
