Assistant Accountant (Accounts Receivable)

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Head Office Allegiance care team at Mt Gravatt. This is a full‑time, in‑office role responsible for managing resident accounts, monthly billings, and debtor management within a fast‑paced finance environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong accounts receivable experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a high‑volume environment.

About the Role

As an integral member of our Accounts Receivable Team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate resident records and producing timely monthly billings. You will also support the management of debtors to ensure the timely collection of fees for our aged care.

This role is ideal for someone who is self‑motivated, organised, and confident in managing sensitive customer accounts with professionalism and care.

What You’ll Do

Process monthly resident charges, journals, credits, and payments

Maintain accurate resident records and issue monthly statements

Prepare and distribute aged debtor reports

Follow up overdue accounts with residents and families

Reconcile debtor ledgers and process refunds

Liaise with facilities, third parties, and debt collection agencies

Maintain resident/customer Masterfile and accurate filing

What You Bring

2+ years’ experience in accounts receivable (aged care preferred)

High accuracy and attention to detail

Strong organisational and time‑management skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Experience with Epicor ERP (desirable)

Ability to work independently in a high‑volume environment
