TriCare Hayville Retirement Village is on the lookout for a Full Time Grounds Maintenance Officer (Gardener) to ensure that residents have the landscaped surrounds maintained for their enjoyment and quality of living. Victoria. Nestled on 12 acres of lovely grounds with beautiful views of the Dandenong Ranges, Hayville is a great place to work and connect with others.

This role is for 76 hours per fortnight and is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, being part of a close-knit team, and making a real difference in people’s day-to-day lives. You’ll be joining a supportive, purpose-driven environment where your work truly matters.

What You’ll Do

Garden Care – Pruning of shrubs and hedges, control and spray of weeds, removal of green waste and minor re-landscaping

Common areas/pathways – Keeping pathways and outdoor recreation areas free from weeds and debris

Maintenance – Assist with basic mechanical repairs and maintenance; and care for assets such as tools, equipment and vehicles. Provide coverage for the maintenance officer during periods of leave.

What We’re Looking For

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in a Retirement Community or Residential environment preferred
  • Keen interest in gardening and landscaping along with good physical fitness
  • Good communication and polite manner
  • Drivers Licence
  • Current first aid qualifications
  • Possession of certificate qualifications in horticulture and weed spraying, are certainly advantageous.
