TriCare is seeking a reliable, motivated, and community-focused Environmental Services (Outdoor Cleaner) to help maintain our beautiful retirement village environment. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, and is committed to providing residents with a clean, safe, and welcoming community.
As part of our Village team, you will be responsible for maintaining the presentation, cleanliness, and safety of outdoor areas, communal spaces, and village facilities.
About the Role:
Located at Aspley in Queensland, Compton Gardens Retirement Community is looking for an Environmental Services (Outdoor Cleaner) for a Permanent Part-time role (75 hours per fortnight). This position offers the following:
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 7.5 hrs a day
What you’ll be doing but not limited to:
- Sweep and leaf blow footpaths, and common areas.
- Maintain the cleanliness of village entrances, outdoor corridors and stairs.
- Clean outdoor furniture, bollards, mailboxes, and bin enclosures.
- Manage waste collection areas, including coordinating bins for collection and maintaining cleanliness.
- Clean community area windows, doors, screens, and tracks.
- Maintain pool areas, BBQ facilities, recreation spaces, bathrooms, and change rooms.
- Undertake high-pressure cleaning of paths, and external surfaces.
- Clean village vehicles as required.
- Perform gardening tasks including weeding, pruning and general tidying.
- Monitor and assist the gardening team with irrigation.
- Assist with cleaning tasks including light fittings, fans, and air vents.
- Ensure infection control, hygiene, and safety standards are consistently maintained.
We’re looking for a candidate who demonstrates:
- Minimum 2 years’ cleaning experience in a service-based environment.
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Current driver’s licence (preferred).
- Ability to undertake physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, walking, and outdoor duties.
- Police Check and health check requirements

Remuneration is set according to Level 3 of the Aged Care Award $29.62/hr.
