Accounts Receivable Team Leader

Established for over 50 years, TriCare is one of Queensland’s leading providers of retirement communities and aged care residences. 

TriCare is recruiting for an experienced Accounts Receivable Team Leader to join the team in a full-time capacity at TriCare’s Head Office in Mount Gravatt on Brisbane’s Southside. This position will be reporting to the Accounting Manager, and you will be part of the well-established accounts team in the aged care industry. 

The right candidate for this position would have an Accounts Receivable team lead skill set with a composition of Debt Collection. You will be leading a team of three and reporting to the Accounting Manager. You will be dealing with the aged care residents’ families or representatives for accounts receivable end to end and debt collection, so it’s crucial that you are compassionate towards them but also be able to process the collections. Previous work experience in healthcare debt collection would be ideal but not mandatory. 

Key responsibilities for this position but not limited to: 

  • Responding to account inquiries received by phone, email or letter.
  • Processing monthly billing/charges, journals, and credits associated with resident accounts.
  • Processing payments and banking reconciliations.
  • Managing end-to-end debt collection process.
  • Reconciling resident accounts and Government funding
  • Team coordination and assisting with their ongoing learning and development
  • Ad-hoc duties or tasks to support the accounting function as directed by the Accounting Manager. 

Skills, experience, and attributes necessary for this role include:

  • Full function of Accounts Receivable processing
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in using common Microsoft programs.
  • A positive attitude and good negotiation skills to obtain successful outcomes and/or payment of accounts.
  • Experience in using an ERP system, would be an advantage.
