Maintenance Supervisor – Northside

Established for 50 years, TriCare is one of Queensland’s largest private owners of Retirement Communities and Aged Care Residences.

TriCare is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Supervisor – Northside to work within our Group Facilities and Asset Management team (GFA). The GFA team are responsible for ensuring the maintenance works for all TriCare sites are delivered efficiently and effectively. 

The Maintenance Supervisor works with the Aged Care Residence and Retirement Community sites to ensure the successful delivery of the preventative and corrective maintenance program for all plants, equipment, buildings, and landscaping. We aim to maintain a safe and engaging environment so that our clients have the quality of life, and enjoy feeling safe, social, and part of a supportive community. So, it’s fundamental to this role that everything is functioning properly and safely. 

Key responsibilities and skills for this role include: 

  • Supervision of Maintenance cycle end to end, supporting effective management and monitoring of maintenance schedules, plans, and activity.
  • Supervise and monitor the maintenance officers and crew to ensure that appropriate outputs and team culture are achieved.
  • Inspect sites and buildings to determine appropriate repair, maintenance programs, and methods are effectively executed. 
  • Undertake regular and thorough risk audits.
  • Significant asset management expertise combined with strong people management experience. 
  • Strong knowledge and experience in dealing with most trades and services (including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and fire services). 
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, including an ability to prepare high-level reports. 
  • An understanding of the requirements of health care facilities would be an advantage.
