Registered Nurse – Night Shift

Established for 50 years, TriCare is one of Queensland’s largest private owners and managers of retirement communities and aged care residences.

TriCare’s Toowoomba Aged Care Residence, our 73 bed facility located in Mount Lofty, Toowoomba on the Darling Downs, is recruiting for an experienced permanent part-time Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.

This role requires a specialist night shift nurse, although there will be the opportunity to work some afternoon shifts.  You typically enjoy working night shift, it suits your personal/family situation and you enjoy earning the additional penalty rates according to the Nurses Award 2010.

You will report to the Clinical Manager, and although your manager is traditionally off site during your night shift, you can communicate readily via email/reports; and during catch-up monthly/quarterly meetings.

The role is responsible for working closely with your manager and being 100% team-orientated to achieve real resident-focussed outcomes.

Your skills, experience and attributes include the following:

  • Knowledge in ACFI and its associated documentation
  • 2 years’ experience in a residential aged care environment
  • Specialty nursing skills (advantageous)
  • Adept at using electronic clinical management systems
  • Knowledge of Emprevo to publish vacant shifts to available employees (advantageous)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Evidence of full COVID-19 vaccination is a mandatory requirement of the role.
