On 20 November 2025, Willow Glen Retirement Community was filled with festive cheer and heartfelt celebration as we marked a very special double milestone, our Village Christmas Party and 30th anniversary!
It was a day that beautifully reflected what Willow Glen is all about: connection, community, and celebrating life together.
A day to remember!
Thirty years ago, Willow Glen Retirement Village was founded with a simple but powerful vision, to create a welcoming, supportive community where residents could truly feel at home in beautiful Toowoomba. Three decades on, that vision is alive and thriving, thanks to our wonderful residents, dedicated team, and strong local partnerships.
We were honoured to receive warm and thoughtful words from the local Mayor, a Queensland Senator, and TriCare’s managers and staff, each acknowledging the important role Willow Glen has played in supporting older Australians and enriching our local Toowoomba community over the years.
Reflecting on the milestone, our fabulous Village Manager Ally shared:

What truly defines this community isn’t just the years, but the people — the friendships, the stories, and the sense of belonging our residents have created together. Seeing everyone come together to celebrate was a wonderful reminder of why Willow Glen is such a unique place to call home.”
A Festive Day of Style and Celebration
Residents celebrated in style with a festive party, complete with endless delicious tapas, flowing conversation, and plenty of laughter. The atmosphere was relaxed yet elegant, the perfect way to toast both the festive season and three decades of shared memories.
From clinking glasses and enjoying favourite canapés to catching up with friends and staff, the day was filled with those small, meaningful moments that make community life so rewarding.
