Volunteering has always played a big part in Margaret Gibson’s life, so when she moved to TriCare James Ommaney Retirement Community, it was only natural for her to put her hand up to help out. Originally from South Australia, Mrs Gibson moved to Queensland with her husband Merv who was working in the ministry.
TriCare Mt Gravatt Retirement Community resident, Peter Window, attributes his creative flair to his grandfather, who lived close by when he was a child growing up on his parent’s pineapple farm. He taught him that you were only ever limited by your imagination, and showing him how to be creative with different objects and materials.
